Powers and Abilities:

⏵ CONDUIT: Like the Lucian kings before him, Noctis is able to access the power within the Crystal, a magical artifact providing mortals with special abilities. He can siphon that power to others by creating a magic bond between himself and someone else, who then access it through Noctis. In essence, he’s a walking conduit, which can be incredibly draining as it draws from his own life force. With this power, he can access the Armiger, manifest spectral weapons, warp short distances, and craft spells for others to use (which could work in another world if they identified sources of elemental energy to draw from).

⏵ SUMMONER: Four Astrals will offer their aid if summoned (Titan, Ramuh, Garuda, and Leviathan), though since they’re gods, they can be a bit finicky in terms of responsiveness. Noctis really, really doesn’t like doing this, as it’s both terrifying to experience and a huge physical drain on his energy level. One single summon can essentially exhaust and put him out of commission for several hours.

⏵ SPIRIT WHISPERER: While Noctis doesn’t often volunteer this information, as it’s unusual (even for a world with living gods), he can see and interact with spirits. It’s unclear why, exactly, though it’s likely because they recognize his special connection with the gods and view him as a source of good will. Noctis enjoys helping them and will make time for it whenever possible.

⏵ SWORDSMAN: He’s trained in the art of swordplay since he was very young. It’s one of the few skills Noctis feels confident in, and he’s very proud of the progress he’s made. Generally, he prefers using his father’s sword, but he’s proficient with other types as well, including lances, greatswords, and daggers.
